Waters of Rest

 We decided to do our first splurge on the new house and add a little curb appeal. We love the wood look garage doors we have, and especially the contrast with the white stone. We decided adding matching wood shutters would really add a nice pop amongst the brick. We love the new look it gives the front of our house! Check out the before photo below the finished result! When we bought our new home, one of my FAVORITE features was this gorgeous walk-in pantry! (FYI-This is only half of it 😬!!) I was so glad to have ample space to build a good stockpile of pantry staples (so useful now too with all the Covid-19 stuff going on) and I loved being able to give everything a functional space and have easy access for kid's snacks and commonly used items. Target recently had a storage sale and that's where I was able to buy most of my items.   We are thankful to God for the joy of expecting a new addition to our family! We hope to be holding our sweet rainbow baby  🌈 by the end of the summer! 💗

Being in a new house has given me a nice blank slate to decorate. I haven't done much since we moved right before the holiday craziness began, but I figured it was now a new year and I needed something new and fun in the living room. I haven't quite decided what my decorating style is going to be in this house, but I thought it would be fun to do a mix of textures and items for some easy, neutral mantle decor that could easily go from winter to spring. I pretty much bought everything at Hobby Lobby!   

  I can't believe we actually did it! We bought a new house. Its crazy that 5 years ago I was convinced our current home was our forever home. Well, three kids later and it just wasn't the perfect fit it was before. This new home has a wonderful layout, and is brand new, so (hopefully) no maintenance issues and we can dive into personalizing it as our own. I'm so thankful to God for the opportunity to upgrade our house that will hopefully enable us to continue to grow our family, homeschool our children, be hospitable to friends and family, and make memories for years to come. Now to pack, move, unpack and enjoy all the craziness of this season!

1 Timothy 1:5  " But the goal of our  instruction is love  from a pure heart and a  good conscience and a sincere  faith." Being a mom has been a desire of my heart for a very long time. I now have a 2 year old son and a second baby due in 6 months! Having a strong background in early childhood education, I have always had the desire to work with my own children and possibly even to home school when the time comes.  For the past two years I've worked with my son doing simple at home activities to incorporate learning into our playtime, and we have both enjoyed it greatly. As we prepare to expand our family, and as my son grows older, I have decided to be more dedicated in my at home preschooling. Starting in September I plan to begin monthly learning themes, complete with bible, reading, math, science, sensory, art, music, and physical activities. I consider it pure joy to be a stay at home mom and to have the desire to work with my child...
